what's goin on


I've been working on Demon Man Deluxe a lot recently. Development has been very off and on for the 8 months of beta, but the game has still improved quite a bit over that time. By far the most major change is my own skill in development. This has always been a learning project for me, and on that front it's been a massive success. The solemn way I'm writing this makes it seem like I'm about to give some bad news. I'm not. Things are going nicely on the path to 1.0.

I just didn't like seeing a fat 90 days without any posts.  The game is being worked on, and the next update will be big. The reason why I haven't pushed out a smaller update is mainly because I've made a huge mess implementing all this new content and I don't want to clean everything up until it's done.  And it's looking a lot like "when it's done" is going to be the full, 1.0 version of the game. I don't know when it is yet, but it will be sooner rather than later (very helpful, I know).

After 1.0 is released, I'm not sure where I'll go with this project. I may get bored and release small content updates, but my main goal from there is to work on bigger projects with better tools. I may remake Demon Man again, because it's very simple at its core (enemy spawns and move down, can shoot it) but has room for lots of interesting stuff to implement (upgrades, lasers, menus, full voice acting by Benedict Cumberbatch (hit me up Benny)).
