v1.1 Release!

v1.1 is out??

By far the biggest change in this update is an entirely new soundtrack, by the amazing Kevin MacLeod!

The reasoning behind this can be inferred.

It's a change that should have happened a very long time ago, but I haven't been able to bring myself to do it until now.

All attempts to match the original feel of the soundtrack inevitably wound up falling short, and were frankly a little cringey.

So as any sane man would do, I replaced the entire soundtrack of my game with royalty free disco music instead of trying to replicate the original feel whatsoever.

I find it hilarious. And it works, in a Maryland state flag kind of way.

Also in this update:

-Boom upgrades have been buffed substantially! (They are probably overpowered now, but I don't care!)

-That awful laser indicator bug has been fixed

-The game is now a little easier on lower difficulties (you mean most people aren't as good at Demon Man Deluxe as I am??)

-Void mode works again

-A crossover hat????

That's right, Simulacrum is now out on Steam!

Check it out! (i made it)

After Demon Man Deluxe, I thought it would be fun to learn a proper game engine, make my own music, and maybe try putting the game on Steam. All these goals were far, far too ambitious, and accomplishing all of them on a tiny timeframe was a horrible idea that somehow seems to have worked out infinitely better than expected.

To publish Simulacrum, I switched names to ToasterWare for game development, so I can use Pixelsplitter for personal trolling rather than business.  This is why this game is also now under ToasterWare (plus I could make a sick logo).

Alright Demon Man Deluxe fans, you should be up to speed.

ToasterWare will return in 2024.

Thanks for playing,

pixelsplitter
